Our customer recently relocated his business from Whitechapel London E1 to Stratford London E15.
He expressed some concern about the bringing his numbers established numbers (he has the present numbe for 20 years) because he was moving outside his exchange area. He requested that we handle the move of his telephone system to the new premises and all related services.
We cabled his new premises with CAT5 making certain extra points were included for future internal moves and expansion. Concurrently we ordered new lines and requested the main number to be ported to our SIP trunk provider network. The system did require upgrading to enable the use of VO IP technology. We also did a simultaneous provide for the broadband so it would be live when the lines were installed. This enabled testing the SIP trunks for quality prior to the move.
We dovetailed the port of the main number to coincide with the weekend of the move.
The move went seamlessly and everything was running smoothly in the telephone services from day one.
An additional benefit for the customer is that he is able to provide IP Phones for key employees to enable them to work from home during the Olympics if there is too much traffic to the new premises. These phones allow the users to have a telephone extension at home ann operate as is they were in the office.
