A company in Hounslow was introduced to us by a friend of the owner and we were asked us to visit him. He wanted to discuss his telephone system with us and how we could help him.

The customer, who is Greek by birth, said he was very upset to what was happening to his country and the related problems with the Eurozone. He told he had been sending money to his family to assist them.
He ordered another IP Phone that he wanted to set up as an extension in the family home in Athens. He intended a visit in early June and said the family could keep in touch with him at no cost to themselves.
The pre-programmed phone was sent to him and the necessary licences have been added to his system. All he has to do is connect it in Athens when he visits.

When a new customer ordered business phone directly from us in Brentford negotiated a very hard deal with us when they finalised the deal to replace their existing cabling with the total cabling with CAT5 and rip out the old system. The installation of the system was relatively quick easy because it was being patched out at the patch panel. We discussed a maintenance contract with them and they did not think it was necessary. Part of our original proposal included an UPS(uninterrupted power supply unit) and this was pared down out of the proposal because they wanted to reduce the purchase price. They also did not take the maintenance contract.
Roughly 6 months after the install there was a massive power surge into the building and the electronics in the phone system was burned out because it had not got the protection we had recommended. Because there was no maintenance they had to pay for the new box and the labour charges involved in the replacement and the reprogramming. The customer now has a USP and a maintenance contract.
